Everything starts with the quality ingredients

Essential oils, clays, plants – everything has been on the cosmetic shelves of our ancestors for centuries, and it is these components that Signe Seebid use to make cosmetics.

An effective cosmetic product does not have to contain a large amount of chemical compounds, but correctly selected natural components. While most manufacturers color and scent products imitating natural components, we always use what is found in nature. Therefore, Signe cosmetics has preserved all the useful substances contained in the fragrances and colors.

We do not use the bases of purchased products to make our cosmetics, but all products are made entirely on site. The recipes of the products are made using the best practices of old Europe, and in their simplicity, the scent combinations have been around for centuries.

How are cosmetics put together? Is it resource efficient?

All cosmetics made by Signe are handmade in our small workshop and are therefore unique. Production lines with large energy requirements are not used in the manufacture of products. The energy consumption of Signe Seebid OÜ corresponds to one household of 4 members.

Is the packaging eco-friendly?

Signe packs its cosmetics in recyclable packaging whenever possible. We mainly use glass and recyclable cardboard/paper for cosmetic packaging.

Glass packaging is not afraid of heat or cold, it does not react with cosmetics or other substances that we could pack in glass containers on a daily basis. A glass container does not react with cosmetics in the sun, which plastic almost always does. Glass jars and bottles are not accidentally swallowed by fish or other aquatic animals. Glass is safe for both nature and people.

When packing products, we use all fillers that come to us with raw materials. We also use the boxes in which the raw materials arrive. We cooperate with our production neighbors by using the good boxes left over from their production and thus we buy new packaging very minimally. Thanks to this, we do not produce new garbage and we also help others send used transport packaging back into circulation.

Recycling. What can you do?

The glass packaging we use also does not degrade quickly in nature, but the safety of the glass ensures that these jars can be used to store accessories or condiments. If you have enough cans, you can take them to the packaging container. If glass were to get into nature, it would not break down into an evil substance that gets into the bodies of humans and animals, but would become a natural part of nature again over thousands of years.
